Currently we are working on theatre’s renovation project in Bihar, in which we have a plan to renovate thirty single screen theatres into Miniplex. In the miniplex there will be 200 seats and among these 50 seats will be specified for couples considering their privacy.

After people started visiting multiplexes in India, they want the same comfort everywhere while watching a movie. They look for online booking, service standard, quality food & beverage, soft cushions, comfortable chairs, air condition, and many more things. There are a lot of companies that are offering multiplex franchise in India to give the required boost to the business.


Most importantly if single screen cinemas are well maintained, everyone will look forward to watch movies there. Most single screens have more than 700 seats but only few seats get occupied. They hardly to do any business since their cinemas are not getting any audience due to which most of time they have to cancel the shows.

There are many reasons for the downfall of old cinema halls in India such as Entertainment tax policy, competition from multiplex, high maintenance cost, lack of quality films, low quality facilities, low ticket price, lack of educated staff, missing family environment etc.

Projects Stage

Stage I

Our offerings in Stages to start a miniplex:

We do Pre – Analysis to see the potential of area and project that includes Geographical & Demographical study, Getting estimated costing, Breakeven point, Legal issues, Location visit etc. to start a miniplex.

Stage II

Architectural & Civil Work:

  1. We (BME) provide all designs to construct the cinema building and the same will be executed as per the approved design.
  2. Concept design as per the government rules & regulation.
  3. Architect, Structural and other interior & exterior drawings.
  4. Development of presentation drawings, finalized layout plans, sketches / 3D simulations (stills) of key spaces along with material sample boards.
  5. Prepare all necessary drawings for approval of municipal or town planning department or any government statutory body.
  6. Specification of Materials and other elements for Interior Fit Out.
  7. Preparation of Bill of Quantities (BOQ) with estimated cost (for award of contracts relevant to the scope) on the basis of drawings.
  8. Construction of the cinema building on approved layout.

Stage III

Interior & Exterior:

Once the construction is done, interior & exterior work will start which will include below services:

  1. HVAC: Heating, Ventilation & Air condition plan & Execution.
  2. Electrical: Electrical work of whole cinema.
  3. Seating: Seating fixture & quality plan
  4. Interior Design: Interior designing of whole Cinema.
  5. Acoustic: Sound Proofing of auditoriums.
  6. Sound & Screen: Dolby digital sound system with screen setup.
  7. F&B: Machinery Procurement & recipe finalization of the menu to be served in café.
  8. Ticketing: Ticket counter plan & taxation will be completely online process.
  9. IT: IT installation for all track reports, ticket & café sale, stock checks etc.
  10. Safety & security: Fire fighting & CCTV planning and installation.

Stage IV

Operation Set-up:

  1. HR: Hiring for the cinema team.
  2. Operation Setup: Work flow of all operational areas i.e. Box office, café, housekeeping, ushering etc.
  3. SOP: Standard operating procedures for the cinema to smoothen day to day operations.
  4. POKA-YOKE: Operation reality plans to track the performance.
  5. Pilferage Control Plan: Plan to track your real income and control pilferage.
  6. Operations Training: Operations training to run the cinema.
  7. Marketing: Marketing plan for weekly schedules and cinema launch (Print media/leaflets/brochures etc)
  8. Programming: Scheduling the movies as per govt. norms & train your team for the same.
  9. Accounting: Cash flow set up & cash tracking plan with training your account team.
  10. Software Training: Cinema software for operations training to the staff.
  11. Distributor Tie-up: Tie-ups with major distributors to get the maximum new releases.
  12. Cinema Operation Management: We will run the cinema for one week.
